Mentor coaching deepens and sharpens coach competences
Mentor Coaching strengthens coach competences and enhances coaching results.
Mentor Coaching suits to all coaches, who want to deepen and sharpen their coach competences. Mentor Coaching is also an essential part of International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) coach accreditation processes.
Mentor Coaching is a deep dive into coach’s core competences.
Mentor Coaching helps to understand what a professional, results enhancing coaching looks like and what a professional coach does. Mentor Coaching helps to identify coach’s strengths and development areas. Mentor Coaching strengthens coach competences, including the presence of a coach, for the benefit of both the coach and their clients.
Mentor Coaching on 1-1 basis
Mentor Coaching on 1-1 basis is an intensive and efficient way of support. The key method in 1-1 Mentor Coaching is working with the coach’s own coaching recordings. The use of coaching recordings makes it possible to assess coach competences and get individual feedback based on ICF’s Core Competences and Ethical guidelines.
Mentor Coaching sessions are organized virtually. New 1-1 Mentor Coaching processes can be started throughout the year.
Mentor Coaching in a group
Mentor Coaching as a group process consists of exploring the ICF Core Competences and Ethical guidelines together with the group. In the group, questions and topics are discussed and explored together. There will be coaching practices, where group participants have a possibility to coach, be coached on, and observe coaching.
New Mentor Coaching groups can be started throughout the year. The group size can be between 4-10 people, and typically there are 3 group sessions, each session 2-2,5 hours, altogether 7 hours. The language used can be Finnish or English, depending on the participant needs.
The group sessions are organized virtually.
Mentor Coaching is an essential part of International Coaching Federation’s coach accreditation processes. Coaches applying for ICF’s coach accreditation or renewing their ACC accreditation are required to have at least 10 hours of Mentor Coaching, of which minimum 3 hours need to be on 1-1 basis. The whole Mentor Coaching process can be on 1-1 basis.
“As my mentor coach, Pirjo created a safe space in which I was positively challenged to reflect and grow. Each session helped me to recognise the things that I needed to improve upon with an understanding of how they would help me better serve my clients. I would recommend Pirjo to anyone who wants to take their coaching to the next level.”
Executive and Team Coach
“As part of my Professional Certification in Executive Coaching (PCEC) at Henley Business School, I had the pleasure of working with Pirjo as my Mentor Coach. Pirjo´s extensive experience and broad knowledge within the field of Executive coaching has played a significant role in my personal development as an executive coach. I for sure, would not have been, where I am today, without the strong mentorship from Pirjo.”
